What we collect on this site, why we collect it, and how to have it removed.
Last updated 16 September 2026
This notice explains what personal information NexTechSA collects through this website, why we collect it, who else sees it and what to do about it. It is written to meet section 18 of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013.
NexTechSA is a publication of Excellion Group (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2024/491600/07. The company is the responsible party for the information described here.
Our Information Officer is Marius Yssel. Write to him at hello@nextechsa.co.za about anything in this notice.
The form asks for your name, your email address, a reason and your message. It posts to a handler on this site, which mails the result to hello@nextechsa.co.za. No outside form service sits in the middle. We use it to answer you and for nothing else.
The newsletter runs on MailerLite. It holds your email address and the date you confirmed it. Nothing else. Signing up sends you one confirmation mail, and the record only becomes active once you click the link in it. Every issue carries a one-click unsubscribe, which removes the record.
We count visits with Google Analytics 4, and only after you press Allow on the notice at the foot of the page. Decline and no measurement script loads at all. Your answer is stored in your own browser so we never ask twice.
Where you allow it, Analytics records the pages you viewed, a rough location, your device type and where you arrived from. Your IP address is shortened before storage. We see counts, never names.
To change your answer, clear this site's data in your browser and choose again on your next visit.
Our host records ordinary web server logs, which include your IP address, the time of the request, the page and your browser string. These exist for security and for fault finding, and they are kept by the host on its own short cycle.
This site sets no advertising cookies and takes part in no ad network.
Your analytics answer is kept in your browser's own storage under the name nts-consent. Google Analytics sets its own cookies, and only once you have pressed Allow.
Three operators, each doing one job for us: MailerLite for the newsletter, Google for measurement where you allowed it, and our hosting provider, which stores the mailbox and the server logs.
We sell nothing, rent nothing and share nothing with advertisers. We hand over information otherwise only where the law requires it.
MailerLite and Google process information outside South Africa. Section 72 of the Act allows this where the recipient is bound by rules giving protection substantially similar to POPIA. Both are contracted on terms of that kind.
The whole site runs over HTTPS. The contact handler strips line breaks from every header field, which closes off header injection, and it carries a hidden field that catches automated submissions. We never ask for and never store card or banking details. Access to the mailbox and the newsletter account sits with the Information Officer.
Under POPIA you may ask us to confirm what we hold about you, to give you a copy, to correct it, or to delete it. You may object to our use of it, and you may withdraw consent at any time, which does not undo anything done before you withdrew.
Write to hello@nextechsa.co.za. We reply inside 30 days. There is no charge. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act, so the information does not go to the wrong person.
Raise it with us first and we will try to put it right. You may also complain directly to the Information Regulator.
We update this page when the way we handle information changes. The date at the top always shows the current version.
